Art and Design Technology

Hardly a day passes for our youngest pupils without them experiencing the joy of paint and glue! Early artistic endeavours rapidly become more refined as pupils are introduced to new techniques and styles and to the study of the work of great artists. In the Senior school our spacious art room and generous resources give enormous scope for pupils to further develop their artistic skills and self expression in a variety of media. Work is exhibited throughout the school, as well as being entered for competitions from time to time, giving our pupils a sense of pride in their achievement.

Learning how things work, appreciating the need for careful design and developing a range of construction skills are key elements of our Design and Technology curriculum. Building on their Primary school experiences, our Senior pupils enjoy using the resources of the well equipped Technology Centre as they develop their own unique design projects.
