Entry Requirements

A visit to Kings Monkton School is obviously the first step and we are happy to give children, younger people and you as parents as much time as you want to enable you to get to know the school properly. Choosing a school for your child is, after all, a major decision and a process not to be rushed.

Children are able to join Kings Monkton at any age and at any time during the school year if there are places available. Pre-school and infant children are assessed informally, usually when they spend a day at the school prior to joining. Children of junior and secondary age are required to sit an entrance test, normally in English and Maths and Reasoning, before a place is offered. Entry to the College depends upon a minimum of five GCSE passes at grades A-C.
