Kings Monkton School is situated to the east of Cardiff's civic centre, close to the city's main shopping area and to Queen Street Railway Station.

Visitors from further a field will normally approach Cardiff along the M4 and should follow directions to Cardiff City Centre. Access to the school is via The Walk.
