25 November 2008	Kings Monkton School – Chess News Winter 2008
17 November 2008	Sixth Form Success On Weds 12th November, fourteen executives from Cardiff County Council gave our sixth form students the opportunity to practise for job and university interviews by offering them an individual interview here at the school.
13 November 2008	UNDER 11′S RUGBY TEAM Kings Monkton U-11s rugby team recently played a match against Llanishen Fach Primary School, traditionally one of the best rugby playing primary schools in Cardiff.
16 October 2008	CBBC TV Series – Election Tudor E (Year 10) has set his sights on Downing Street!
22 September 2008	Chess Success The Welsh Junior Team Chess Championship at Bishop Hedley High School on 20⁄9⁄08 saw more Chess success for the school and its players!

27 June 2008	Nick Races in Belgium Nicholas J (yr 13) has had a busy few months. In addition to sitting his A levels, Nicholas has been motor racing again – this time in Belgium.
20 June 2008	Qualifyers for Yeovil Following their success at Jenner Park our excellent athletes competed to take part in the South West Independent Schools Qualifiers in Yeovil.
20 June 2008	Athletics Cardiff and Vale Athletic Championships were recently held at Jenner Park, Barry. I am more than happy to report that pupils from this school achieved remarkable results in these competitions.
20 June 2008	Birmingham Athletics Competition It was with trepidation that our team of athletes made their way to Birmingham for the National Independent Schools Championships. We were a small team of 6 -the only representatives of the South West region (from England and Wales!) accompanied by two mums and Mr Newman.
9 June 2008	ISA Athletics Championships On Friday 6th June Kings Monkton School took part in the South West ISA Athletics Trials in Yeovil. This is only the second occasion the school has entered the competition, so the team travelled in hope more than expectation. However, it was a very happy minibus that crossed back into Wales later that day!
4 June 2008	Alex Feasts in the Ukraine Some weeks ago I reported that one of our star chess players had qualified to play in the Ukraine.
4 June 2008	Athletics Success Ewart W and Sara O, having qualified last week, enjoyed a highly successful day of athletics at Jenner Park, Barry.
