Cardiff & Vale Junior Chess Championships 2011

Well done to all those who took part in this huge event at County Hall in the Bay attracting more than 250 entrants.

In the Open Section Alex W came joint 1^st while Alex B & Mohammed B also put in good performances.

At U15 Joshua M & Ahmed B came joint 2^nd.

Four pupils from Year 5 dominated the U10 Section: Souheil Z scored 5 ½ points to win the 1^st place trophy, while Lewis M came in a close 2^nd!

Just behind them were Mehak S & Daniel A, while in the U8 Section  Thrishanth V played very well in his first tournament.
