Success for Oliver and his Band

Congratulations go to Oliver P and his band 'Llwydcoed' who took first place in their division at the 2011 Welsh Regional Championships in the Brangwyn Hall in Swansea.

The band was up against a formidable field of opponents and as this is the first season of competing in this section, (as they were only promoted in January) the victory was particularly notable.

The adjudicator in his comments was unable to find fault with any aspect of the band's performance and the award for best instrumentalist was picked up be a fellow member. Llwydcoed has subsequently received an invitation to the National Championships of Great Britain and gained more coveted world ranking points.

Oliver's dad kindly extended his thanks to the school:
