Year 12 Enterprise Day

Year 12 participated in a busy and challenging Enterprise Day on Monday. The day kicked off with inspirational talks from 2 of our parents. Mrs Cardoza told the students ‘How to Win at Interview’ while Mr Reynish gave a thought provoking presentation on ‘Entrepreneurship and Self Employment’. These talks set the scene for the rest of the day. The two Young Enterprise companies, ‘Inflate’ and Cover Up’ used the ensuing sessions to develop their business plans and presentations. They were assisted in this by our visiting Business Advisors, Richard Nelmes from BT Information Technology Professional Services and Caroline Lawton from Lloyds Banking Group. In addition, all students experienced a mock interview in session lead by a team from Venture Wales. At the end of the day each company made a presentation to a critical panel of judges from the Cardiff University School of Computer Science and Informatics.
